Job description
FEG is hiring a geotechnical engineer to support ground investigation programmes, laboratory coordination, and technical reporting for transport, industrial, and giga-project clients.
You will interpret borehole, in-situ test, and geophysical data to deliver clear geotechnical recommendations for design and construction teams.
Responsibilities Include:
• Planning and supervising borehole, CPT, and in-situ testing campaigns
• Reviewing field and laboratory results against project specifications
• Preparing geotechnical interpretive reports and foundation recommendations
• Coordinating with geophysical teams on integrated subsurface models
• Supporting proposal inputs, method statements, and QA documentation
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal technical leads
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (master’s preferred)
• 3–6 years of geotechnical investigation experience on infrastructure or energy projects
• Familiarity with Saudi building codes and common ground conditions in KSA
• Experience with borehole logging, SPT, CPT, and lab test interpretation
• Strong technical writing skills for formal geotechnical reports
• Professional registration or eligibility (SCE membership a plus)
• Fluent English; Arabic communication skills are an advantage
• Ability to split time between Khobar office and field sites as required
