Geotechnical Investigation

FEG mobilised a geotechnical investigation team to assess subsurface conditions within the project area in Riyadh, KSA. The investigation was conducted in accordance with the project requirements, with a focus on soil profiling, groundwater conditions, and obtaining reliable geotechnical parameters for foundation design.

Scope of work included:

Execution of geotechnical boreholes using suitable drilling methods to investigate subsurface soil and rock formations.

In-situ testing, including Standard Penetration Tests (SPT), to evaluate soil resistance and consistency.

Collection of representative disturbed and undisturbed soil samples for laboratory testing and classification.

Groundwater level observations during and after drilling, where applicable.

Geotechnical data analysis to establish subsurface stratigraphy and determine relevant engineering parameters.

Preparation of a comprehensive geotechnical investigation report, including borehole logs, laboratory results, foundation recommendations, and assessment of settlement and bearing capacity.
